Car dealers in China saw new vehicle sales account for a bigger part of their revenue in 2021, while secondhand vehicles and after-sales service generated less revenue than before, according to a recent survey. New vehicle sales accounted for 84 percent of dealers' revenue in the 2021 financial year, up from 77 percent in 2020.

The construction contract for six LNG carriers, each with capacity for 174,000 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas, was inked between China State Shipbuilding Corp and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha on Thursday. The contract has a combined value of more than 8 billion yuan, the largest single LNG order the Chinese shipbuilder has ever received.

China's commerce ministry has been sparing no effort to boost the supply of daily necessities for regions experiencing COVID-19 resurgences, the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.The ministry has been transporting goods from various locations to the affected regions to ensure the steady supply of daily necessities, ministry spokesperson Gao Feng said at a press conference.

Clinical trials for China's vaccine against Omicron variants are expected to conclude in three to four months and will be gradually put into use, according to the vaccine developer on Wednesday.Pre-clinical research showed the vaccine has good neutralizing activity against Omicron variants. said Zhang Yuntao, chief scientist and vice president of vaccine developer China National Biotec Group (CNBG), affiliated with Sinopharm, during an online press conference.

Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has unveiled its latest handsets K10 series, as it steps up efforts to attract gaming enthusiasts. The move is part of Oppo's broader push to expand its presence in the Chinese smartphone market amid stiff competition. Oppo is also opening its all sales channels in China to another Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus, after the two got merged last year.

The Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park by Chinese tech company Honor Device Co in Shenzhen was the only firm in the mobile phone-making industry to be included in the list.
