With the implementation of China's One Belt One Road policy, the cooperation between China and the Belt and Road countries in economic and trade fields has continued to deepen, especially between China and Philippines. Under the Belt and Road Initiative and in order to further support the foreign trade companies to stabilize orders, expand markets and maintain shares under the epidemic period, European American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EAcham) will organize an Online Trade Fair (Philippines Session) to promote economic and trade cooperation between Chinese and the related companies in textile, fashion and footwear industry on April 11-15, 2022.
About Zhejiang Province
Zhejiang is an eastern, coastal province of the People's Republic of China. It has been called 'the backbone of China' due to being a major driving force in the Chinese economy and being the birthplace of several notable persons, including the Chinese Nationalist leader Chiang Kai-shek and entrepreneur Jack Ma. Zhejiang consists of 90 counties (incl. county-level cities and districts).
After China's economic reform, Zhejiang has grown to be considered one of China's wealthiest provinces, ranking fourth in GDP nationally and fifth by GDP per capita, with a nominal GDP of CN￥5.62 trilion (US$849 billion) as of 2018. Zhejiang's economy is based on electromechanical industries, textiles, garment, footwearfood and construction materials. It has Asia's largest professional textile market in Shaoxing and famous production base of footwear in Wenzhou. As the saying goes, "The world's textiles industry lies in China, and China's textiles industry relies on Shaoxing."
