1. Honghe sweater industry began in the early 1970s. In 1988, the town established the Jiaxing Honghe sweater market, which became a famous professional sweater market in the country. In 1998, the market occupies an area of 23 kilometers and has more than 4,500 sweaters and wool yarn shops. Integrating professional production, wholesale and retail, we have more than 3000 kinds of sweater styles in stock. It has the characteristics of full variety, fast style renovation, and low year-on-year prices. The products are not only sold in shopping malls across the country, but also exported to Mongolia, Russia and many other European countries. In 1998, the market turnover reached 2.428 billion yuan. The public supporting facilities in the market are becoming more and more perfect, and the communication, transportation, finance, entertainment, hotels, etc. are all available. Premier Zhu Rongji of the State Council and Hu Ping, director of the Special Administrative Region Office of the State Council, leaders of the central, provincial and municipal governments successively visited the town and the market to guide the work. By 2010, the wool sweater market had formed four branches: headquarters, Danhong, Xinnan, and Dada, and three extremely standardized worsted, woolen, and wool yarn raw materials trading zones, with an annual turnover of more than 5 billion yuan.
